Is Respond Power a good electricity service company?

Respond Power is a licensed electricity service company in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York. Respond Power was started in 2005 and is an affiliate company of Major Energy.

They show on their website to have an A rating with the BBB. You can reach Respond Power electric company at Phone: 1-877-973-7763

This licensed electricity supplier has aggressive expansion plans and will be moving into almost all deregulated electricity markets. In regards to whether this electric company is a good one we suspect they are as there are no complaints regarding this company with the Public Utility Commissions they do business in that we have been able to find.

When comparing Respond Power electric rates with competing suppliers you will want to make sure you ask them what charges are included in the advertised rate.

Be sure to ask Respond Power or any of the energy suppliers you decide to compare rates with what if any additional fees need to be considered in the final “all-in” rate.

Even if some of the charges that are a part of an outside government fee, tax, or transmission service provider charge it is important to see what a total electric rate looks like.

With each electricity company you come in contact with make sure you ask questions related to the total of all fees and charges bundled into the rate and what that will be.

Because some electric providers that compete against Respond Power may attempt to hide certain fees and charges from their electric rate you can ask these questions to make a clear and accurate comparison of electricity prices with all energy suppliers you compare next to its’ rates.

      Louis,

We are not Respond Power and do not recommend this company to our customers. We simply wr6ote this article about them as an informative article.

  2. Susan says:

Do not sign up with this company! I signed up two years ago and they tripled my rate with NO notification. I am in the process of filing a dispute through PECO, my local electric provider. Stick with your local company. These supposed “money saving companies” are SCAMS!

    Awful, awful business.

My rates went up 4 times what my old electric company could have charged me. The representative they sent to my house told me nothing but falsehoods about how much I could save by switching. When I called to ask about the hike in price they dropped my call… twice. I canceled immediately and urge anyone that his has them as their energy provider to drop them.

I couldn’t be more dissatisfied with the entire experience.

    Terrible company. 0/10. Never again.

It’s criminal what they do to customers and where are our politicians. PUC said they can charge what they want.
